The wind this day was so bad. We were lucky to find a spot that had some coverage from it. Everyone was such great sports and didn't complain at all about it being cold and windy. The kids were amazing! I can't believe how well they all behaved for the pictures. Even the babies were great! It was so much fun to be able to go out and take these pictures. Some times I feel like I write the same things over and over again, but I always feel so close to my clients. I have had the chance to watch this family grow and it has been so special to be able to see that. They are so cute together. I love how in love Danyle and Brett still are. You can see how much they love each other and that bond that they have everytime that they look at each other. It just radiates from them. Benson is getting so big and little Bria is just a doll. Sherstin and Jon are such a great couple. They are so patient with thier children and love them so much. Their kids have the prettiest blue eyes. I had a lot of fun doing this shoot and we were lucky that the rain held out until we were done shooting. We did have a bit of wind, but that was managable. I loved their little kids and how cute they were. Thanks you guys for letting me take your pictures while you were in town for just a brief moment. You guys were wonderful!

One of my favorite moments is being able to see people that I have done pictures before and seeing how much their families have grown. I did little Livia's baby pictures when she was first born. She has grown up SO fast. She has the cutest little personality. Her smiles were killing me. She is just such a doll. I have so much fun when I am with these guys. Lacey and Dustin's moms both came along to offer lots of laughter and smiles. They were a great help and are both wonderful grandma's. I'm so glad to have met this wonderful couple and can enjoy these special times with you guys!

I still am in shock over how much hair baby Kole had. He was the cutest thing. His hair naturally goes into a faux hawk, how lucky for mom and dad. Kole has the sweetest little features and was such a good baby. He was pretty much amazing for the pictures. He was awake in some showing off those awesome peepers and then snuggled right down for some adorable sleeping ones. Baby Kole you are so handsome!

The day was perfect not too cold and not too warm. When I first met Ala and Eli they were so friendly. We could talk like we had been friends for awhile. I knew instantly that this shoot was going to be fun. We headed to several different locations, had a couple of strange people talk to us as we waited to cross the street, and got some great shots. Their little boy is so cute and wanted to be very serious for some of the pictures. His serious face is one of my favorites. I love the big brown eyes and the pondering looks he would give me. Ala and Eli have so much chemistry together. You can see it bursting from their eyes when they look at each other, the little smiles that they would give, and the sweet laughter they would share. You can tell that they are best friends. Thank you both for giving me the priviledge to take these for you.

Children honestly grow up so fast. I remember when this little one was first born. I remember actually anticipating her coming into the world. Now she is 2 years old. What an amazing little ball of personality. Abby has the cutest little way of talking. I love how she just babbles and then says a word that you can actually understand. She loves to tell you stories and talk with her hands. She was so fun to shoot and grab all of those fun little things that she is doing. She is soon going to be a big sister and I can't wait to watch that little one grow up too. Abby I love you and your amazing hair!

It was quite and adventurous day with these two adorable guys. They both have stunning blue eyes. This baby for sure had to be one of the best babies I have ever shot. He was totally awak the whole time, but didn't ever utter a peep. He was amazing! We had so much fun playing with the balloons until they decided they were going to fly away. That of course was not received very well. We got to play in the sun and in a rain storm. Overall it was such a fun shoot and stinking cute kids to go along with it.

Kassi you are gorgeous. We had so much fun doing this shoot. We stayed in the trees for awhile because it was super super hot. Kassi's aunt and her soon to be daughter came with to help. Bailor and Briggs have been so fun to photograph. I have been able to see these two handsome boys grow up. Bailor has the cutest personality. He is so funny. It doesn't get better than a day in the park with your family playing baseball, duck duck goose and ring around the roseys. I had such a great time with this family. They are so much fun to watch interact. Lila has the cutest little personality and voice. She would come up with some of the funniest things. When we were playing baseball her mom asked what the girls team should be called and she instantly said, "The Pink Socks!" What an amazing little family. When we played in the dirt the kids were super excited. They had a blast drawing pictures and writing their names. It was just a fun day, one that they will be able to remember.

Heather is so stunning pregnant. I would give anything if I could look this good when I get pregnant. She has the cutest tummy and actually was full term when we took these. She delivered barely 2 days after we took these pictures of this gorgeous mom. Heather wanted to surprise her husband and have some maternity pictures taken without him knowing. Sorry Mike, quite a few people at work knew she was doing this and kept it from you! It was for a good cause though. I just can't get over how beautiful Heather is. You would never guess that this is her 6th child. Her and Mike are now done having children. What a great way to capture the end of such a beautiful journey. The weather was so perfect for Kara and Jake's wedding. The flowers were so pretty. I loved being around both of their families and feeling so welcomed. Kara's brother and his friends were a total riot the whole night. I loved that they were wearing their sunglasses inside. We made sure to get some awesome shots of them. One of my favorite shots of them with the glasses though has to be when they all came walking outside when everyone was waiting for Kara and Jake. I loved getting to see Kara and Jake interact with each other from afar. They have so much love for each other it radiates from them. They are such an amazing couple. This is going to be a pretty long post. Mandi and Scott have one of the cutest families ever! I love being able to do thier family pictures every year. I can't believe how big their kids are getting. Congrats you guys on baby number 3 too! I love all of the pictures that we did and it has made it super hard to pick favorites, so I am posting quite a few of them. I think you will enjoy them. I loved being able to catch their family interacting. They had a ton of fun and it was like I wasn't even really there. They played with bubbles, went on a bear hunt in the fields, played jump on dad, and even got some airplane rides. Take a look at the great time we had.

I know that I say this about almost all of my couples, but it is completely true. Tim and Camille are a blast! Tim was constantly doing hilarious faces and making us laugh. I loved all the "blue steel" poses that I was able to get! I love how playful they are together. Camille has such an amazing talent at keeping Tim under wrap so he doesn't get too crazy. Their personality blend so well together. Tim was so great at making sure that Camille was taken care of during the shoot. He even made sure Camille's gorgeous dress was well taken care of. I love seeing how cute they are together. Can't wait til the big day you guys, don't worry Tim you can pull all the faces you want then! :)

These boys melt me. I love watching how they interact with each other even though they are all boy, you can still see how much they care for each other. They are so much fun to watch as they interact and help each other out. When one of them would loose their balloon they would help each other find it or would give the other one theirs. Jeff and Brad are twins. They couldn't be more different though. They both have such different personalities. I loved being able to see that come out in the clothing that they brought for the shoot. They are alike in some ways at the same time though. The main way is how sweet they are. They both were so willing to do whatever I asked. Even if it meant freezing while a hail storm came over us. The other main way they are alike as I am sure you can tell is they are both very attractive young men. Young ladies you should grab these two up! They are going to make great hubbies! You can tell that their mom has raised them well. I love how gorgeous their eyes are. Thanks Jeff and Brad for being so amazing! I can't wait for our second shoot!

Matt and Shanna Groomals-Utah Wedding Photography

I love the chemistry between these two. When I was going through the pictures I couldn't help but smile seeing how happy they are. It is amazing how people can come together through such unknown ways. I love how gorgeous these two are. They make taking pictures so easy. Shanna's dress compliments her so well. I love all the details on it and yet how timeless it is. The red lipstick is killer! I am so glad that she decided to wear it for a couple of them. I love how the red just pops with the white background, so I of course had to post that one first. Matt looked pretty killer himself in his amazing 3 piece suit. The gray totally compliments his eyes. Love it! I can't wait for their big day and to see how amazing everything turns out. You guys are too hot! Check them out.

Ayden is so lucky to have such wonderful parents. It might be just me, but the amount of love that radiates from these two is SO obvious for him. Kelly and Shane are such a gorgeous couple, it's no wonder that Ayden is absolutely the cutest thing. He is totally going to be a heart breaker when he grows up. I loved during this shoot that Kelly and Shane seemed just as in love as when they were dating. You can tell that they make each other a priority in their life and yet work together to bring up such a handsome little boy. Ayden has honestly the sweetest little personality. When I first arrived he would just stare at me and you could just see in those dark brown eyes he was trying to get a feel for me. Don't worry he loves me now! During our shoot he would reach out for me cause he wanted to get me, which just melted my heart. I had to put a little bit of all the adorable faces that he would pull throughout the shoot. I feel it completely shows off his personality. Kelly and Shane you guys are such a bomb shell couple! It was so nice to catch up and see you! Your son is adorable and I can't wait for fall and your next pictures with the new puppies.

Kara and Jake Groomals-Utah Wedding Photographer

Kara and Jake decided to do groomals instead of bridals. Groomals are one of my faves. These two looked smashing! I am in love with the contrast of the colors that Kara has chosen for the wedding. The blue with the red just pops. One of my favorite thing about doing their pictures is capturing that amazing smile that Kara gets when Jake is near her. She just radiates when she is in his arms. They are so in love it shows in all the pictures. We lucked out when we did this shoot. It was supposed to be stormy, but it cleared up the day of our shoot. Thank goodness! Livia is so precious. I know all babies are, but she is just a doll. Her little features and just how great she was. Dustin and Lacey are such awesome parents. Miss Ella bella. Ella is a ball of personality. She just loves being a baby, I can tell. This little girl is so happy and loves to bounce. While we were doing the pictures in the baby buggy, she was bouncing so hard she almost bounced herself out of it! Thank goodness we were all there to make sure she wasn't going anywhere. Can you believe how beautiful she is? I was able to do Ella's week old pictures when she was first born. I can't believe how fast time has gone by and how big she is. Kali is turning 2 years old! She is so pretty. Her eyes were just killing me they are so big and blue. This little girl is so funny and smart. When we were shooting there was this little cat that kept following us around everywhere. Kali loved it. She kept talking to the cat and asking where it was going. She is such a doll. Rhet is such a stud! He was totally working his bike, which I loved. I am sure the place where we did the shoot appreciated him flying back and forth on their loading dock all on camera of course! It was worth it though. I love how down to earth Rhet is even though he is such a handsome kid. Him and his mom were so funny together. I love how they banter back and forth. Rhet you are awesome!

Katie is stunning. She is so pretty it makes me sick. We kept talking about America's Next Top Model during our shoot. We had such a blast. Matt and Shanna Engagements-Utah Wedding Photographer

Where to start off with this couple. Matt and Shanna met while working together, they had two awesome match makers at work that got them talking (one of them might have been me...). These two have so much chemistry and make me laugh. I don't know how many times I had to stop shooting because I was laughing so hard the camera wouldn't stop shaking. Image stabilizer just doesn't work under those circumstances. Honestly you can tell that they have so much fun together. Matt loves making Shanna uncomfortable in front of the camera, which I was loving! She would laugh so hard and has the prettiest smile. Shanna just adores Matt you can see it all over her face when she looks at him. Matt helps Shanna to get out of her comfort zone, he actually borrowed some strangers motorcycle for one of the pictures. Of course I was up for it. That is one of the best shots! Baby Bria

This baby is absolutely beautiful. It is crazy how all the babies that I get to photograph are just so adorable. Bria is so tiny and sweet, as you can tell. She has such perfect little features. I am so excited for Brett and Danyle to have a little girl. I know that Danyle is going to have so much fun dressing her up. Bria was so good for the pictures and loved showing her little peepers to us. What a beautiful little bundle of joy!

Family Pictures

I must admit that even though I do photography all the time, I really have never taken the time to get my family together to do a new family picture. We were sitting at my parents house for New Years eating dinner. I looked around at our family and saw how much it had changed. I remembered the days when it was just my siblings and I and our parents. Now we have little ones and spouses that share the holidays with us. Then I noticed the family pictures that my mom had displayed around the house. All of them were from so long ago. The last sister picture was from when I had just graduated high school. Shayley in that picture was so tiny. My parents only had a picture of the two of them from when Golden was married. I couldn't believe that I had let all of these special changes in our lives slip away without capturing them.

That was the breaking point for me. I right then and there told everyone (told them, not asked) that we were going to do family pictures. I got everything together, from the location and time to what everyone was going to wear. I can't express to you how grateful I am for these pictures. I love this first one that we took. It shows everyones stages of life. You have Golden with his growing family, Randy and I with each other just starting our journey, mom and dad with Chase and Shayley still at home and each other, Jeremy growing up and trying to figure out where he is going with his life, and Tiffany with her beautiful little girls that are the joy of her life. I now how beautiful pictures of my parents together still so in love after all these years, how gorgeous my siblings all are, and of all the new little grandkids that make all of our lives so happy.

I went to a photography work shop the other day with Sandy Puc. She talked about how we capture peoples lives as photographers. I can't help but tear up as I think about it. She stated that long after these beautiful people in our lives are gone the pictures are what others will have to remember them by. That hits me so hard everytime I think about it. I am able to create a freeze in time so that others, long after we are gone can look at these people that helped them to get here. I am so glad that I am the one to be able to freeze time in my own family and hold onto it.

If you realize the same thing that I did, please don't wait. Make sure you get these moments that pass us by so quickly captured. You never know when you will lose someone so dear to you.

Mark and Jenny Engagements

I just got to do this amazing couples engagements. They were so much fun to shoot. They were willing to drive all over to find some amazing places and go into some scary areas all for some awesome pictures. I love love love this shoot. They are so great together and compliment each other so well. These two will have 8 kids together when they finally tie the knot! You know this is real love! Mark is so sweet to Jenny, it's almost unbelievable. He was constantly make sure her door AND mine were open! This guy is a total gentleman. You can feel the love in the pictures. Snowboarding

Taven is such a cute baby. He for sure has the family eyes. I can't get over those peepers! He is such a cute baby. I love when they are at this age and everything goes into their mouth, especially their toes. Look at how flexible he is and how happy. I love the innocence in his little face.
